UCEAP Blogger Scholarship

The UCLA International Education Office is pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity made possible by support from UCEAP. This scholarship is designed for students who want to engage deeply with their study abroad and reflect creatively on their experience through a blog. Scholarship winners will have their blogs featured on the IEO website.


The award. $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to 13 UCLA students who commit to blogging about their experience while abroad. Applicants are accepted on a first come, first serve basis, so apply early.


In order to be eligible for the UCEAP, you must be an undergraduate or a graduate student at the UCLA. It is possible for transfer students to study abroad. Given the timeframe, it is essential that transfer students plan ahead.  Application deadlines are often due 6 to 12 months in advance of the program start.



If you are a registered student at one of UCEAP’s host universities, you may be eligible to attend UCLA as a non-degree reciprocity student. Students often participate in more than one UCEAP program. This may take careful planning. You should start your application as early as possible, because determining the right program and completing the application process takes time.




  • Applicants must be a UCLA undergraduate or graduate student participating on a UCEAP program


  • GPA of 2.5 or higher





The application for programs starting in the Winter or Spring terms will open on September and ends on October.


Applications for programs starting in the Summer or Fall terms generally open early winter quarter and close around mid- to late February. Timeline subject to change.
