St. Luke’s College is proud of its excellent reputation for preparing graduates to pass national licensure examinations and to practice as registered healthcare professionals. The long-standing tradition of providing quality healthcare education in a hospital setting continues for St. Luke’s College, which now offers bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees and certificate programs.

 

St. Luke’s College is located on the campus of UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s in Sioux City, Iowa. Offering health system-based education in a dynamic setting, the campus houses classrooms, practice laboratories, faculty and administrative offices, computer laboratories, conference rooms, student lounges, a library and bookstore.

 

Ample parking is also available near the college buildings. Student lounges are located on second and third floor of the College Building located at 2800 Pierce Street. These areas offer students the perfect place for a study break, a meal break or some casual conversation.

 

When it’s time to study, students can take advantage of the computer labs located in the Library area of the College. The campus is also wireless so students can access the internet when and where they need it most.

 

Hands-on experience is prized by St. Luke’s College and therefore our dedicated skills labs are utilized for simulation and multi-skilled, multi-bed experience. In addition, students gain real life experiences in clinical settings at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s and various other sites.

 

The college’s library serves as the health science library for both the college and the hospital. As an academic and clinical library, it serves students, faculty, physicians and employees of Unity Point Health – St. Luke’s, as well as patrons of Sioux City and the surrounding community.

 

 

Scholarships

At St. Luke’s College, the school strives to make higher education affordable. With the help of many donors and alumni, the College continues to increase the scholarship opportunities offered to the students. As a result, this eases the financial burden and helps the students focus on their educational experience.

 

To quality for the St. Luke’s College Scholarship, you must be accepted, complete the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and the scholarship application by the designated deadline.

 

Scholarships must be applied for each year. For further information please call 712 279 3112. Access the online application and save it to a file on your computer. Then email the completed application as an attachment to Monica.harvey@stlukescollege.edu by the stated deadline.

 

There are many scholarships in the community you may explore. If you choose to use a scholarship search, please be advised that most are free. Paying a fee for scholarship searches is not recommended.

 

 

Betty Peters Beyer Endowed Scholarship

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum GPA of 2.3
  • 1st or 2nd year student
  • Nursing student who demonstrates academic potential
  • Student must be from the Siouxland Community

 

 

Bomgaars Annual Scholarship

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum GPA of 2.3
  • 1 st or 2nd year student
  • Can be enrolled in any program
  • Demonstrates academic potential
  • Shows a commitment to practicing healthcare in the Siouxland area
  • Preference shall be given to students that are a Bomgaars employee, or a close family member that is an employee of a Bomgaars store, or live in rural town that has a Bomgaars store and that has a commitment to working in the Siouxland area

 

 

Bonnie Bright Crisman Annual Scholarship

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • 2nd year student only
  • Must be enrolled in the nursing program
