Since 1977, the Golden Key has awarded over 8 million dollars in scholarships and grants to members from countries USA, Australia, New Zealand, Bahamas, Canada, India, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, and Global. The Golden Key Honour Society goal is to unlock and enliven excellence within the members by unlocking their potential.
Golden Key is the world’s largest collegiate honor society. Membership into the Society is by invitation only and applies to the top 15% of college and university sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as top-performing graduate students in all fields of study, based solely on their academic achievements.
As an international honor society with more than 400 chapters at colleges and universities around the world, the Golden Key is committed to a high standard of scholastic achievement, and an ethos of integrity, innovation, respect, collaboration and diversity.

How to apply
Each scholarship requires a different application. Click on the scholarship you are interested in for specific instructions on how to apply. An impartial committee of educators in the field the scholarship is based will choose winners.
- Applications must be written in English.
- Applicants must adhere to submission deadlines – no exceptions.
- You must have a member number to apply for a scholarship. Decisions made by the selection committees are final and not subject to appeal.
Only Golden Key Members are eligible to apply. All scholarship applications must be submitted by the indicated postmark or application deadline. The deadline for each scholarship is listed directly to the right of the scholarship name.
Golden Key members can apply for any number of scholarships each year as long as the requirements for each scholarship are met. Please review the specific scholarship guidelines for additional requirements and eligibility details.
In the USA/Canada, every year, each local chapter will award at least one scholarship to a chapter member. These scholarships are called the Golden Key Chapter Scholarships.
Local chapter leadership chooses the scholarship recipients. Factors for selection include academic accomplishments, leadership in collegiate activities and participation in extracurricular activities (including Golden Key, if any, work and family commitments and community service.)
Please contact your chapter leadership or your regional office for more information. Once winners are selected and eligibility requirements are confirmed, they will be notified via email by Golden Key HQ. This email notification will be sent out within 120 days after the scholarship deadline date.
Non-winner notifications will be sent by email within 120 days after the scholarship application deadline by ISTS. Add email@example.com to your email address book or “safe senders list” so these important emails are not sent to your junk mail folder.

The International Scholar Laureate Program (ISLP) is a product of an educator-led initiative founded over 25 years ago to give top scholars the lifelong advantage of an international career perspective.
The ISLP mission is to educate, motivate and inspire accomplished college students through interactive, experiental and engaging programs that encourage high-achievers to reach higher and achieve more in their lives and careers.
